My name is
Victoria Winters. Just when the terror in my life seemed to be subsiding, and
the pleasure of a weekend away from Collinwood was moments away, I suddenly
found myself facing a situation more horrible than anything I had known.
Vicki runs into Matthew’s
house, hoping to escape her attacker.
Matthew comes in and asks what she’s
doing. She says she’s calling the sheriff and he asks why. She says she doesn’t have time to call him now, but she’ll tell him later.
He stops her from calling,
taking the phone away from her and asking her to explain.
She tries to pick up the
phone, but he stops her again. He doesn’t want her making trouble for the
Collins family.
She tries to leave and he grabs her.
Matthew tells Vicki he wants
her to sit down so he can ask her questions.
He wants to know what she
found out about Mr. Malloy’s death. David overheard her say she thinks she
knows who did it.
They don’t find anything but
the broken urn.
When they return, Liz decides to call Matthew before calling
the sheriff.
He tells her the car probably
didn’t see her.
It’s hard to see on a country road at eight o’clock at night.
Vicki denies thinking Matthew
has something to do with Bill’s death.
She knows he didn’t have any reason to
do that.
She tells him she feels sick.
She promises not to try to run if he gets her water.
He says he doesn’t know.
She says they'll search for her everywhere. He has to let her go.
